Women’s College Hospital in Toronto was about to be torn down and replaced with a state-of-the-art new facility. To celebrate the rebirth of this historic institution, we threw a fundraiser like no other. In partnership with Art Battle Toronto, we turned the soon-to-be-demolilshed hospital into the most temporary gallery in history with a live competitive art event…and the building was the canvas.

Through partnerships with Bell Media, the Globe and Mail, Pattison Outdoor and the Toronto Transit Commission, we launched a mass-media ticketing campaign and invited people to participate as either a Competitor or a Critic. The final pieces were auctioned off (some literally carved out of the concrete walls they were painted on) with all proceeds going to the Women’s College Hospital Foundation.

WCH was ready for a change. So for one night only, we invited everyone in Toronto to tear it up before we tore it down.
